The week in activities: Saturday, the 26th

Who says Saturdays are for sleeping in? I am a Taurus which isĀ  code for heavy sleeper and I still would not miss the chance for a good ‘ol General Assembly of UNYA Albania. Yeah, okay, as a board member, I could not miss it anyways but still these are some non-boring four hours of your life.

Like you probably figured by now, last Saturday, UNYA Albania organized its General Assembly at the premises of the very warm and feminist-named library “Musine Kokalari“. Over the course of four hours, we had the chance to reflect on our work for the past three to six months. Looking back in hindsight, we now have the ability to identify our strengths and strive to further cultivate them but also our shortcomings and work towards overcoming them.

In order to measure our work, we have created a set of both organizational and department-level objectives. The director and deputy-director of each department presented the progress we have made toward the realization of each of the objectives. One of our most important objectives is to keep our members happy and motivated and the Human Resources makes sure of this through the famous Juliana memes. I admit I had not laughed that much in a long time.

The General Assembly is an event of mixed emotions: pride, joy, hope and some tears. The elections for a new board can have such an impact on a person. UNYA Albania members are pride to welcome Juliana Xhihani as our new HR Director and Afroviti Cerro as the deputy director; Megi Dhimitri as the Fundraising Director and Kristela Pashollari as her deputy; Aleksandra Koreta as the deputy director of Projects.

By the way, if you want to help the Marketing Department, thus my department achieve our objectives, you’d better follow us on Facebook and Instagram for more articles like this.
